Default Buying a cue
Hello, I'm new to buying cues. I've been playing for years always with bar cues or $30 cues from sporting goods sections. I'm looking to get a decent cue under $200 and am looking for advice. I have a couple specific questions and would also like any other advice you may have.

Does anyone have any opinions on Fury cues? Are they just as good as others or is it all hype marketing? How about Blaze? Can the weight be adjusted at a dealer that doesn't deal in their cues? How do I try one of these cues if noone in the area deals them?

Thanks for any insight.

If you don't have a local dealer that will let you try out cues, then the best way might to try hitting some of your friends cues. Playing with a cue is the best way to find out which one is right for you and your game. In the price range you're looking, I would suggest Viking and for a few dollars more a Joss cue. I don't have much experience with Fury, but I understand they are a decent cue for the money.

Sorry, I wasn't much help.

nice for the money you get a nice cue for a fair price, I personally prefer McDermotts (I own 3 one of which is a 1986 D16) They are well made, give a lot of bang for the bucks and offer the best warranty ! There are some great higher dollar cues once you break $800 and up but under I like McDer's That's my personal opinion! Peace and great shooting with whatever you pick!

I would recommend you take a look at a sneaky by your local cue repair guy. Usually they can make you one for less than 200. If not, I would seriously consider a Lucasi. Great hitting cue for the money.

For the money ya cant beat lucasi for a imported cue. But go with a american cue with a good waranty that will last you a life time like a mcdermott, peachure or a viking they can be found in your price range.

I still like Action pool cues for the money. Durable and they hit okay.
