Beach billiard tables

Default Beach billiard tables
I'm in the process of purchasing our family's first table. Sons ages 13 and 10. A respected reseller in the Cleveland, Ohio area showed me a table made by Beach Manufacturing. Beach has made high end furniture, i.e. custom bars, tables and chairs for a few decades.

The Table looks to be well made and of solid wood. It's a discontinued floor model and I was offered a special price. Through my research on the net, I was able to determine that Beach tables are on the same level as Connelly, Golden West and Olhausen, just to name a few.

My concern is, I was never able to get in touch with Beach Manufacturing themselves for detailed product info. No web site and disconnected phones. I was just told today, by a previous Beach dealer out of California, that Beach was out of business. Sold the business over a year ago and any product with the Beach name today was probably imported from China.

I was hoping to get some additional feedback and opinions from anyone familiar with Beach tables before I decided to pruchase this table or not.

Any info. from all you pool savvy professionals would by greatly appreciated.

I've installed hundreds of Beach tables. For home use, you won't find a better table.

Check into what Beach called their "Super-frame" construction. Instead of having 1 beam running the length of the table, they have 2.

The main cabinet of all of their tables is solid construction. Not "Knock-down". I.E. the frame stays in one piece.

There are center drillings for in the middle of the slate for 4 additional slate screws.

They did not use any particle board or HDF in their construction. Every part was made of hardwoods.

Hope this helped.
