Default 9x4 1/2 1927?
I inherited an old table in excellent condition and I am trying to positively identifdy it. The manufacturers plate had been removed and replaced with a local pool table supply company (out of business in the 1960s). I will try to attach some pics...hope this works.P1010001.jpg

Default Antique Pool Tables
There are many pics of antique tables here:
Antique Pool Billiard Tables by Lou Marschak and here:
Brunswick antique pool tables and billiard tables for sale

That second link has the most pics of old tables that I've been able to find on the net. Each pic opens to a small gallery if clicked on. Try the "Medalist". Your's sure is gorgeous. How's it play ?

Hope this helps...Tom

Plays incredible. The installers said it was the heaviest table they ever transported. Table sat idle for over 40 years and had very little play prior.

Ray B, love your table, and I'm going to use your room as an inspiration for my pool room in my basement. Currently, I have an AE Schmidt Cardinal 9 footer with 1 1/2 inch slate and green Simonis 860. The walls are plain in the finished basement. I like the look of your room

I'm pretty jealous about that table you have!!!

TPD, what's your experience with buying/selling antique tables? I've been to Mr. Marschak's website and liked what I saw.

Yours Truly,
The Woim

Thanks for the compliment. I've added a few more decorations since that pic. I'll attach...I really don't have the room for a 9 footer but I'm not complaining. I also inherited a Rich cue stick which I love.

Keepsake Restorations

This is a Brunswick "Improved Union League" we just got finished restoring.

It lived for 2 weeks under 20 feet of water following hurricane Katrina.

I have been restoring tables for almost 20 years, and it does my heart good when I see one that has been taken care of through the years.

Beautiful table!

BTW... It's probably a Brunswick "Regent" made some time around 1920.

DJ

Looked into it.....

It's not a Regent.

The information I have received from someone here in NY is that my table is a Columbia Ambassador produced in 1927. If anyone can find any information on this company or this table I would truley appeciate it. I have searched far and wide with negative results.
