Default So how do you make a cue?
If you want to learn how to make a cue or if you're an custom cue maker for the last 4 decades, we'd appreciate it if you post here. There's no better way to get advice or give advice. The idea is to trade information if you have it or ask for advice if you need it.

Thanks,

To explain, even the basics, from start to finish in this media would be rather lengthy and difficult. I would suggest that if you want to know the basics, that there are several books out now that can help. I would suggest contacting Chris Hightower at Cue Man Billiard Products - Cue Smith cue lathes, inlay machine, supplies and more for his book. After which, I'm sure you'll have many more questions.

Well, cuemaking starts from selecting woods.
That alone is a mighty discussion.

Yup.
Edwin showed me how he "centers" his woods. I thought I knew how to center woods. I felt stupid when he showed me how he does his.

You talk it dry?

C'mon, guys, give it up for JR. No matter how long the discussion is, it's gotta start sometime.
