As with most things in a cue, the joint and pin are a matter of personal taste. That is why there are so many different types.
Legendary cue maker, Tim Scruggs, has said that they type of joint doesn't matter, as long as it is done correctly.
I have cues with several different types of joints. They are all good, but each give you a little different feel.

A good wood to wood joint I have McDermott's and two Jacobys with them and of all of my cues they IMO hit the best! (at least for my taste!)

Viking Cue’s website has a brief reference for their joints. They should be similar to other brands on the market if you need a visual. http://www.vikingcue.com/pages/cues/joints.html

Default feedback
If I understand your question. The pin that "allows" the most vibration / feedback is G-10 Any type of metal you put in the joint will deaden the hit. A 3/8 -10, -11, -11.5 and radial would be the next best for feedback then the 5/16 -14, 18 and following up the rear with the most vibration dampenig effect is the uni-loc quick release.

One thing to remember the pin has only so much to do with the feedback. You also need a good dense shaft and the same in the butt.

That conical joint is very nice and does a wonderful job.
I don't know the science behind it, but it has a lot in common with the "Ultra Joint" used on Lambros cues.
Both of these joints provide a lot of feedback.

Default not only the screw
But the material used as collars for the butt and the shaft make a difference. The best feedback seems to be with Linen phenolic collars or wood collars. The screw holds the two mating surfaces tight to one another, but once that is accomplished the collars transfer energy from the hand holding the butt, to the cueball, and then a reverse surge of energy in the form of vibration back to the butt and the players hand. This vibration is the feedback. The screw may dampen some feedback due to its stiffening of the joint area. That is why the G-10 is liked by some. Slightly less dampening. But the majority of feedback still seems to be from the mating surfaces. Some like the conical joints because of the surface area, but those that have both systems often have mixed feelings whether either is superior. They each have plus's and minus's.
But both of the systems do have more feedback than the noticeable hard feel from a metal collar.

That's true...I made a cue a while back that had cocobolo collars on it and it had tremendous feedback....
