Smile Old Forum Vs. New Forum
Old Forum Vs. New Forum
We have changed forums (as if you didn't notice). We changed for the obvious reasons; more functionality, better looking and possibly even the chance to attract more users. We hope that you find this forum to be everything that you hoped a pool and billiard forum could be. With the advanced feature set, we think that you'll enjoy the new environment.

Important
We must apologize for the incovenience, but we are not having any luck converting the old forum posts and users into this new forum. We ask that you create a new (can be same username and password as before) account to use these forums. You will experience an expanded set of features that will allow you more freedom and an overall better forum experience.

Thank you in advance for understanding,
Inside POOL Magazine

Good choice on the new forum. This one is much better than the older one.

Great idea going with vBulletin. Much more user friendly (IMO) and more widely used on the internet so people are more familiar with it. I really like the changes that you've made both with the website and the forum. Keep up the good work!

Good job, JR! This will make the forums much easier to both post to and read! Thanks,

I agree that this forum is EXCELLENT. The old forum, maybe because I was an AOL user, I would login, but never seem to be able to stay logged in. It was like I was automatically logged out, after I'd log in. Now I am in like Flynn!

BTW, I really enjoy reading the coverage of the tournaments and other pool happenings on the Home Page. The information provided is a godsend. I especially liked reading the most recent article about the IPT qualifiers for the upcoming World Open in Reno.

How about that picture of Ronnie Wiseman in the article, his arms in the shooting stance, with his eyes looking somewhere else! What a Kodak moment. I love it!

Ronnie and James Walden both will be in Reno, having qualified via the IPT qualifiers. Here's a great shot taken at the N.A. 8-Ball Championship in Vegas of Keith McCready, Ronnie Wiseman, and James Walden.

James is from Oklahoma City and is one of the NICEST players on the face of the earth. I asked James if he ever brought his lady with him, but he said she's watching the homefront which includes 5 cats and 2 dogs. Driving to and from Vegas, I stopped off in Oklahoma City, and I was amazed at how modern and nice it is. I noticed there is a lot of large white windmills generating electricity, I think. There are many cattle and horse ranches abound. This town has all the amenities of Washington, D.C. If I was ever going to move, I'd definitely consider Oklahoma City, and the people that I met, just like James Walden, are genuinely nice and welcoming.

EDIT: One thing I noticed when attaching this picture below is that it is automatically reduced to a "thumbnail" size picture. I downloaded two different size pictures, but the same "thumbnail" size came up. Actually, thinking about it, I'd much rather see "thumbnail" pictures than the ones which take up the whole screen, due to their large size, making me have to scroll left to right in order to read a post.

Here is a funny snapshot I took of the two Mike the Mouths and J.R. Calvert of InsidePOOL.

I'm not sure what J.R. was looking at, but check out Sigel's eyes looking at J.R.'s camera lens as he tucks in his shirt. J.R.'s camera sure looks a lot nicer than my little 2-megapixel Olympus!

Those are great! That's a cool thread too.

I just figured out the "thumbnail" feature, and I like it a lot. I thought that all the pictures remained small, but if you click on the thumbnail, it expands to the full-sized snapshot. That's really nice!

You can do that for most pictures. I hope you were not looking at the pictures in the gallery in the thumbnail version all this time.

Click on one and then use the arrows to go to others.
