I guess I don't understand why someone would want to post in a place where one person who disagrees with you can delete your post and essentially control the discussion from start to finish. RSB, thanks to filters, wasn't as bad as the total censorship that seems to be the basis of AZB. While, to the best of my knowledge, I wasn't officially banned from AZB, I was under a self imposed ban, and believe I was admonished a few times by Messrs Howerton and Wilson. I really am curious as to what the appeal of AZB was in the first place. Also, Jimbo, what did you do over there that was so terrible to get you kicked out?

For now, I plan to pop in here once in awhile to see how things are going, but I'll never pull up my RSB roots. There really is no place like home. Has Smorg and JAM made an appearance here yet?

Bob as you know I also love RSB, and I agree if you use the filter feature it takes away a lot of the noise, but that noise caused many good posters to leave. So even if I don't have to see all the FL bull**** there isn't much content. The best part of RSB was the mix of experts and hacks the mix of topics from pool related to wine and cars, but after the plague hit the posts and posters dried up. So where as I agree we can't be under 1 man's eye and be afraid to post what we want for fear of repercussions I think we can have a great balance here.

As for what i did, well I called a guy an idiot and then the power hungry ******* who runs that place thought it was within his power to teach me morals told me I had to apologize or be banned for life. I decided to tell him to F-off and take whatever he felt was right. He tried to ban me for life and the outcry forced him to reduce it to 3 months. I decided that in 3 months he'd just be looking for his next idiotic reason to ban me and that a return under those restrictions wasn't worth it. So I was under the gun to make a move, I looked into making a new uncensored forum and fund it myself. but while researching it I talked to a few people and we discussed this option, a section here where I could try to get things rolling with me being the moderator. i think we have things rolling and my type of moderating is a bit lax so we're trying to get back what we had in the old RSB. when calling people an idiot was not only ok it was encouraged.

As for JAM and Smorg, well I'd love to have them both come over and add the way they do, they both add to things in their different ways. I think Hell might freeze over before we see JAM but I wouldn't make that bet with Dougie, hell, he might already be here. But poker seems to be taking up most of his time these days.

My EXACT thoughts on this. I never complained to Mike, even after the 2nd warning. Then when he got real petty and left me the bad rep points and a PM telling me "Do not post a link to InsidePOOL again", I finally went to Mike.

Mike said he just had the forums best interest at heart and then turned it on me telling me all the bad things about myself. That's all well and good, but I'm not a moderator & the issue was with the way his moderator was conducting himself.

That's when I told him that once I was done doing the raffle for his forum members, an idea that I came up with and was running, which was also helping promote his site, that I would leave.
