I know alot of production cues come with some sort of a name or series. Such as The Gambler, The Stinger, Sledgehammer and so forth. And i imagine some of the customs also might have some name already assignerd to it.
What i want to hear are the names of your own choosing you have given your cue/cues.
Example; I have a matched set of cues made by BHQ the playing cue is Zelda, and the B/J is Link.
Another of my cues that has earned a name is my new Eason cue, i call it Thor this cue has so much feeling to it you can feel the power wanting to be unleashed.
And last but not least is my trusty SP a Lucasi which has earned its share of wins. so i just nicked her Ole Faithful.
I've always waxed nostalgia for the concept of naming things. When I was a Harley rider I tried a few times to refer to my motorcycle as "Iron Rosie" but it never really stuck.
Who isn't tickled pink by the concept of a double barrelled shotgun nicknamed "Bessy"?
Eric's post was absolutely perfect for how I feel about my cues. As far as my pool cues go, no names because primarily I'm doing my best to refrain from smashing them on the side of the table!
Can't remember that I had a name for one yet...but now I've decided to name one Moon Doggie and the other Gidget...hmmmm, maybe not huh...stay tuned, I believe that I can certainly do a bit better than that...wait, ho...maybe DreamMaker...Ok NEVER MIND....
My current Playing cue, a Fury RP 9 I call it Andraste as with the majority of all my cues, I give them names with meaning..This one Celtic myth name of a Briton goddess of victory, meaning invincible...
Naming my cue is a good idea. I never thought about it before. I'll have to get back to you guys on this. Even though I don't win too often, it still deserves a good name. It's not the arrow, it's the indian.
