Shafts when new do change over a period of time... all shafts that Im aware of are subject to this..the supershafts Predator, ob-1 etc are no differnt, they seem to be more stiff when new, than one that is a few years old..

IMHO If you want the best playing shafts, they should be replaced every 5 years.

I myself, I useualy keep the shaft until the original tip is gone.. then I buy a new shaft..thats my preferance, and alot of people im sure are happy to get fairly new shafts from me...lol
