You forgot the third announcement. It is the announcement that is feared by many of the players and that is most of the tournaments will be moved to Asia.
Although it is no different for Asian players to come here, as it would be for American players to travel to Asia, many of the American players did not consider that possibility, when they signed on. I don't think any of them would mind going for one tournament, or maybe two, but I don't believe they would like to steadily go to Asia for the bulk of tournaments.
One major player, who is also a family man, is really holding his breath waiting for future schedules.
