Deuel Destroys All Comers in Florida

J. Pechauer Southeast Open 9-Ball Tour / Cape Coral, FL

by InsidePOOL Staff

Corey DeuelCorey Deuel, “The Prince of Pool” captured the February 16 stop of the J. Pechauer Southeast Open 9-Ball Tour, winning over Louis Altes in the finals. Hosted by Diamond Billiards in Cape Coral, FL, this event attracted 29 billiard players.

Deuel recovered from a loss earlier in the event to come through the one-loss side, besting Justin Hall by a whopping 7-2 in the quarterfinals. He advanced to the semifinals against Mario Cruz, who had just suffered a 7-5 defeat by Louis Altes. Cruz wasn’t able to hold up against Deuel and fell by the wayside 7-5, allowing Deuel to head to the finals. There Altes was waiting for him, but even though Deuel had to defeat Altes twice, Altes was unable to stop him. Deuel won the first set by a stunning 7-0 and the second 7-4 for the title.

Results:
1st Corey Deuel
2nd Louis Altes
3rd Mario Cruz
4th Justin Hall
5th Troy Frank
Glen Olson
