In the winners’ side final four, Trobiano toppled Scott Simonetti 7-3 to advance to the hot seat match. There he met Mike Aro, who had just defeated Felix Menendez 6-3. In a hill-hill nail-biter, it was Trobiano by a nose over Aro 7-6.

Simonetti was swept aside Guy Iannuzzi and sent him home in fifth place 7-6. After his match with Danchak ended 6-5, Menendez tied with Iannuzzi. Danchak went on to dominate Simonetti 10-6 and move on to the semifinals.

Danchak then relegated Aro to third place with a 6-4 victory. In the final match against Trobiano, the match was tied at the beginning, but after a back-and-forth battle, Trobiano prevailed 8-7.
