MILLENNIUM MASTERS POOL LEAGUE ADDS WORLD RANKED trick shot ARTIST TO BREAST CANCER FUNDRAISER
PROSPECT PARK, PA, Sept. 17, 2012 – Millennium Masters Pool League (MMPL), a leading provider of competitive amateur team billiard divisions in Delaware County, announced today that world ranked trick shot artist Steve Markle has agreed to perform for fans during MMPL’s “Fall Classic” tournament on Friday, October 5th at Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino & Racetrack. The 7:00 PM performance, called “Redefining the Laws of Physics,” is part of a larger MMPL fundraiser for breast cancer research later in the weekend.
Steve Markle is a 20 year old professional billiard trick shot artist from Bensalem, PA. He is currently ranked 9th in the world, and is a member of the Ultimate trick shot Tour. Markle finished 3rd in both Las Vegas and at the U.S. Open in 2011 and 2012 respectively. There have been more than one million video views of Markle worldwide, and he has been seen on SYFY Channel, ABC News, Direct Star France, China Central Television, and Comcast Sportsnet.
“I am really excited about performing locally for people with a shared passion for our sport.” Markle said. “But doing something I love to do at this year’s ‘Fall Classic,’ while raising money for breast cancer research, is truly my greatest honor.”
Millennium will be hosting a fundraising event named the “Pink 8-Ball Open ~ Break Like a Girl for The Cure” on Sunday, October 7th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This is a fun-filled afternoon event, requires no skills whatsoever, and is open to the public.
“Words cannot express how thrilled we are to have Steve Markle perform his amazing show at the ‘Fall Classic’ this year,” said Mary Collins, founder and president of MMPL. “Scheduling conflicts did not permit Steve to attend on Sunday, so we extended the fundraiser an additional day. It is becoming much larger than anyone could have imagined,” she added.
Collins concluded by stating, “Everyone from Delaware County and beyond needs to come see this brilliant, extraordinary young man perform shots that truly seem to redefine physics.”
Millennium’s “Fall Classic” is open to sponsorships. It is an excellent opportunity to meet customers and strategically market a business through banners and vendor tables within the 12,000 square foot event room. The cost of creating a high-quality banner is included in various pricing packages. Businesses are welcome to take their banner after the tournament.
