Feliz and Osipov Split Tri-State Honors

Yomaylin Feliz and Alex Osipov reached a draw at the June 23-24 Tri-State Tour stop, with Feliz taking first-place honors. The 49-player event was hosted at Amsterdam Billiards and Bar in New York, NY, and featured a $1,000-added prize purse.
The one time Feliz and Osipov did face each other was in the hot seat match after respective wins over Dave Weinstein 6-5 and Keith Adamik 7-3. Feliz took the hot seat 7-4, while Osipov faced the one-loss bracket.
Adamik rallied to best Daniel Dagotdot on the west side 7-4, while Weinstein tied with Dagotdot in fifth place after besting eliminated by Ben Castaneros 6-3. Adamik went on to oust Castaneros in fourth place with an 8-5 win in the quarterfinals.
But Adamik met his match in Osipov in the semifinals, as Osipov won 7-6 to earn a rematch with Feliz. In the double-elimination finals, Osipov took the first set 7-3 to even the score. The players opted to forego the second set and Feliz took first place.
