As play continued Thursday at the 35th Annual BCAPL National 8-Ball Championships, a full field of 64 world class one pocket players arrived to start the professional show at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The One Pocket event started Thursday, May 12 and will continue to the finals Sunday, May 15. The $10,000 Added, race to 4 double elimination tournament features a mix of some of the best of the old school and some of the strongest of the new breed of one pocket aficionados.
First round match on the TAR live stream featured two authorities in the discipline, “Double J” Jeremy Jones and “The Lion” Alex Pagulayan. The field includes players such as Jose Parica, Efren Reyes, renowned pool commentator Danny Diliberto (pictured), Corey Deuel, Sylver Ochoa, Brandon Shuff, banks king John Brumbeck, and Scott Frost.
Billiard blogger Roy Steffensen from Norway is proudly representing his country. Also representing their homeland are Pagulayan, Reyes, and Parica. Due to U.S. Visa delays, WPA #2 ranked and recent BCA Hall of Fame recipient, Francisco Bustamante had to withdraw from the event but was replaced by alternate Danny Smith.
