I don’t understand why I have to use chalk before every hit????

  2. theniceguy555 says:

you use chalk to increase the grip on the tip of your cue. if you were to not chalk for a long time then you will mis-cue alot (meaning your tip is just going to slip off the cue ball and not hit it straight)

  3. hardgayistheshiz says:

i this explains why i cant practice any of this at my local pub where there is no chalk

  4. Alza14 says:

Hmmm…I think you’ll find that chalks used to reduce friction.

  5. ripcompo says:

    how do you figure that?

  6. runoutman says:

you can get away without chalking before a center ball hit but chalking should be part of your preshot routine anyway.

  7. runoutman says:

hmmm… I think you’ll find that Alza is a fuckin’ moron

  8. Alza14 says:

Just realised I’ve written reduce friction, as oppose to increase friction.
