A rack is supposed to be random, with the only exceptions being that a low and high reside in each of the corners, and the eight ball in the middle.

your seriously one stupid fuck arnt ya, before you give lessons in pool, learn to play it first…. stupid fuck, oh and by the way you break differently for different tables…. stupid fuck

  9. thechampisheress says:

The reason he wants you to hit the second ball is because the second ball is directly touching the 8-ball, providing a direct transfer of energy from one ball to the next. The intent of doing this, is to land the 8-ball in the pocket on a break, to win the game.

potting the black ball from break is a re-rack nob cheese

  13. nyctoguitar says:

Pocketing the ball on break is a re-rack. Another common misconception – you do NOT lose if you scratch on break, and you do not WIN if you get the 8-ball in on break. The international rules verify this.

The 8-ball / win ‘rule’ was created due to quarter tables in pool halls and arcades. Because it can cost around 3 to 4 quarters a game, a re-rack isn’t possible, therefore an idea was made that if the 8-ball was pocketed on break the game was automatically won, but it is not a real rule.

  16. a2zhandi says:

I get a double break by hitting the head ball square with a lot of top.
velocity is crucial though since top will send the cue off the table if hit too hard.
