An attempt to break the world record for the longest pool match is under way in Waterville, ME.

An attempt to break the world record for the longest pool match is under way in Waterville, ME.

An attempt to break the world record for the longest pool match is under way in Waterville, ME.  The Current Record Stands at 53 hours and 25 min.  Steve Reynolds, owner of  TJ’s Classic Billiards and Gareth Steele of www.newengland9ball.com are attempting to break the record at TJ’s Classic Billiards in Waterville, Maine.  All donations go to benefit the Billiard Education Foundation, http://www.billiardeducation.org/.

Play began at 10am eastern time on December 1, 2010.  So Far they have played a race to 100 Eight Ball, a race to 1000 Straight Pool, a race to 16 One Pocket and a race to 100 Nineball.  As of 1:30pm Easten Time today they are back to a playing straight pool in a race to 500.  The match is being live streamed on www.billiardcommunity.com, and www.newengland9ball.com.   They should break the record around 3:25 PM today.  The goal is 100 Hours.
