Shane Van Boening is leading the pack at the Seminole Pro Tour / Gem City Open, which has wound down to its final 6 players from the full 64-player field they began with two days ago.
Van Boening’s closest match was in the first round against Darin Brewer, whom he defeated 9-6. Since then he has been demolishing opponents, only giving up eight games in the last four rounds. After his 9-1 trouncing of James Roberts Saturday evening, he went on to knock Donny Mills into the one-loss side 9-2 and then sent Charlie Williams to follow 9-3.

Smith is still alive, though, and will face off against Corey Deuel in the next round. Deuel recently eliminated Mills 9-5 and James Baraks 9-6. In the other one-loss side match, Williams will play Wilkie, whom narrowly escaped a hill-hill match with Archer in the previous round.
