KwikFire Set to Defend Pacific Coast Title

Kelly Fisher will attempt to defend her title at this year’s WPBA Pacific Coast Classic, having won her first two matches by decisive scores of 9-4 and 9-1. This event is hosted by the Chinook Winds Casino Resort in Lincoln City, OR, and features a 64-player field.
Fisher whizzed through Maureen Seto 9-4 in the first round and then Melissa Herndon 9-1 in the second to face off against Yu Ram Cha in the third round. Cha has had success so far with victories over Liz Ford 9-5 and then Laura Smith 9-6.
Threats to stealing Fisher’s title are many. Jasmin Ouschan is going strong, having bested Joanne Ashton 9-3 and then Jennifer Chen by the same score. Her next match will be against Sarah Rousey, who has sent both Belinda Calhoun 9-4 and Nicole Keeney 9-7 to the west side of the chart.

Allison Fisher remains undefeated, sending first Erica Testa 9-1 and then Ewa Laurance 9-4 to the one-loss side. Her next challenge will come from Kim Shaw, who bested Naomi Williams 9-1 and then Kim Jones 9-2.

Top-ranked Ga Young Kim, who is coming off two consecutive wins on the tour and looking for a third, came through Tamara Rademakers 9-3 in the first round and then bested Miyuki Sakai 9-1 in the second. Line Kjorsvik will be her next opponent. Kjorsvik has defeated Aileen Dimmick 9-1 and Supadra Boonpasook 9-5.
Karen Corr has had an easy run of it so far, sending both Stacey Novack 9-3 and then Rachel Eliazar 9-1 to the left side of the chart. Megan Smith will meet her in the next round, having bested Susan Williams 9-1 and Denise Belanger in a hill-hill match.
