Empire State Championship / West Hempstead, NY

The Seminole Tribe of Florida Empire State Championship kicked off today with a strong field of 103 players. Even with other events being played around the country, this is a power-packed field competing for the title. The Seminole Pro Tour has worked closely with the Blatt Billiards Predator 9-Ball Tour to put on this $6,500-added event hosted by Raxx Pool Room in West Hempstead, NY.

There are eight players returning on the winners’ side, including notable names like Tony Crosby, Shawn Wilkie, Al Lapena, and John DiToro. DiToro and Crosby have brought the Florida flavor to this New York championship, playing fantastic pool throughout the day. The one-loss side is stacked with talent with the likes of Matt Krah, Steve Moore, Dennis Hatch, Tony Robles, Mike Davis, George San Souci, and returning Empire State champion Marc Vidal. All 24 players return to combat at 12 noon Sunday.
Attention B/C/D players: There will be a Second Chance event Sunday as well. If you participated in the main event, entry fee is only $20, and all others are $45. Please arrive by 12:00 p.m. sharp to register.
