Taylor Road Productions is pleased to announce a $5,000 challenge match between Francisco Bustamante and Charlie Bryant to be held on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 8pm EST. The match is just one of the matches scheduled in a series of challenges matches to staged in conjunction with the Galveston World Classic.
Francisco “Django” Bustmante and Charlie “Hillbilly” Bryant are two of the hardest breakers on the world, if not the two hardest breakers. Both players have been clocked with breaks well over 30 miles per hour. This challenge match will pit these two hard-breaking, straight-shooting, all-around champions with one representing the Philippines and the other representing the U.S., in an all-out war to get the cash. The format will be ten-ball, race to 15, with the winner breaking.
The challenge matches will feature some of the world’s top professionals competing during the evening hours of the Galveston World Classic. More matches will be announced shortly.
The entire Galveston World Classic event will be STREAMED LIVE FOR FREE at the Galveston World Classic web site, and will be aired throughout Asia with 11 hours of programming on ESPN Star.
Bobby Rone of Taylor Road Productions said, “I think that this is going to be a great match. I thought I had a hard break until I saw these two lay it down. I have no idea who is going to win, but I know it’s going to be one heck of a match.”
