Kieu and Kato Capture 15-Rack 10-Ball Leagues

Players from all of Colorado accrued points during the ten-week session of 15-Rack Pool Leagues, and at the end it was Dave Kato of Denver who ran 816 balls in a row and ran an impressive 13 racks of 10-ball to win the ‘09 summer session. The runner-up champion was Avery Pier of Westminster, CO, who ran 724 balls/17 racks. For Dave’s efforts he won a custom Jacoby 15-rack Championship cue and a custom Delta-13 rack, and he was the Wynkoop’s Monday night seeded player in the end-of-the-session, $200-added 15-rack tournament.
On Saturday, July 11, the Wynkoop hosted the end of the summer session 15-rack, $200-added tournament. Eligible players who participated in the 15-rack summer session were invited to participate. Players got into groups of three and played the ghost in 15 racks of 10-ball, which included players’ handicaps. Each group’s winner cashed in the tournament. The last three standing played an additional 10 racks to determine the final count and cash payouts. Congratulations to Aaron Kieu of Fort Collins, CO, who won this summer’s tournament.
