DeLawder Lands KBP Title

KBP Tour / Jacksonville, FL

by Kay Higgins

Mike DeLawder took first place for the second time at Q-Ball Billiards in Jacksonville, FL, at the KBP Tour’s April 5 event. A field of 13 turned out for the $500-added tournament.

The format was a race to 7 on both sides. Out of the favored players in this event—Daniel, Brown, Mike DeLawder, and Eric Charlton—no one knew for sure which way it was going toward the end. DeLawder was determined, and Charlton make some strong shots that kept the crowd watching, but as Charlton seemed to run a little low on steam, DeLawder pulled away and left Charlton in third place.
