Bar table phenom Jesse Bowman triumphed over a field of 29 players at the April 18 stop of the Pechauer All-American Tour. Hosted at Miller Time Billiards in Davenport, IA, the $500-added event featured a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes.
Bowman had little trouble moving to the winners’ bracket finals. In the hot seat match, Bowman dominated young Crist Airdo 7-1. Earlier, in the A-bracket semifinals, Bowman swept by Blake Madson 7-1, while Airdo hammered Aaron Bean 4-1.
In the B-side bracket Steve Parlow eliminated Brian Madison at seventh place 5-3, while Josh Johnson ousted Tony Morales at the same placement 7-1. In the next round of the B-bracket Parlow toppled Aaron Bean 5-3 at fifth place, and Bean was joined by Johnson, who fell at the hands of Madson 4-4. Parlow continued his momentum by ending Madson’s day at fourth place by a 5-2 margin and finishing off Airdo at third place 5-3. In the finals Parlow gave Bowman some resistance, but Bowman prevailed by a 7-4 margin in the first set for the title.Results:
