Dominiak Cues Northeast Tour / Windsor Locks, CT
Chuck Hill took no prisoners at the March 28 stop of the Dominiak Cues Northeast Amateur 10-Ball Tour, winning first place. Hosted by Pool Table Magic in Windsor Locks, CT, the event saw a strong field of 28 players from throughout the Northeast make the trek in attempt to capture the $500-added cash and prizes.
The double-elimination format saw Al Yagmin make his way through top half of the winners’ bracket to the hot seat match with a bye in the opening round before wins over tour photographer Rob Francoeur, Gene Hunt, and Kevin Blackstock. Next up for Yagmin in the hot seat match was Hill, who scored victories over Greg Anzelotti, Ben Edwin, Tim Haley, and Casey Francis. In a hard-fought match it was Hill earning a spot in the race-to-5 finals.
Rogers Hill made his way steadily through the one-loss side of the chart after a first-round loss, but Blackstock had the finals in his sights and defeated Hill and Yagmin to meet up with Chuck Hill in the finals. It was a closely contested battle, but Hill made some solid outs when he needed to and a couple of full-ball jump shots to get out and take home his second tour stop title.
