Brothers Blows Through Blaze Field

Josh Brothers cruised to an unchallenged victory at the March 15 stop of the Blaze 9-Ball Tour. Hosted by Q-Ball Billiards in Vineland, NJ, the stop saw a field of 44 players come out to playincluding Jennifer Barretta, Matt Krah, Eddie Abraham, Adam Kielar, and Joey Testa.

Krah took control of the top half of the bracket, winning over Charles Walker 7-0, Erin McManus 7-4, Tom White 7-2, Abraham 7-6, and Testa 7-1. Leading the bottom half of the bracket was Brothers, who notched wins over Jim Kallas 7-1, Ariel Rivera 7-3, Randy Schwager 7-3, Shaun Wilkie 7-1, and Kielar 7-3.

Brothers and Krah met to battle for the hot seat match. This was a one-sided affair that saw Brothers easily win 7-1 and send Krah to the one-loss side. Abraham awaited him—their match went back and forth with Krah taking it 6-4 to reach the finals. Krah had to defeat Brothers twice in the true double-elimination finals, but Brothers ran through Krah 6-0 in the first set to take the title.
