Haddad Hauls in Pechauer Stop

Pechauer All-American Tour / Lakewood, CO

by InsidePOOL Staff

Mark Haddad went unchallenged at the February 28 stop of the Pechauer All-American Tour to take first place. This $1,000-added event was hosted by Greenfields Pool & Sports Bar in Lakewood, CO, and featured 33 players in a double-elimination format on 7-foot bar boxes.

Haddad dominated Rick Field in the A-side finals by a 5-2 margin to gain the hot seat. Previously, in the A-side semifinals, Haddad fended off John Rivera 5-2, while Field strafed Andy Pettinger 5-1.

The B-side showcased Ed Borrego eliminating Ruben Silva at seventh place by a 5-4 margin, while Dino Devoe suffered the same fate at the hands of Nick Smith 5-1. Fifth-place spots were filled by Pettinger losing out to Smith 5-2 and Borrego falling to Rivera 5-3. Smith then kicked into a higher gear to stop Rivera’s march at fourth place by a 5-1 margin and Field’s run at third place 5-0. This set up Smith’s rematch with undefeated Haddad for the title, but the results were similar to the earlier match, as Haddad dominated by a 5-1 margin.
