The Turning Stone Classic XII has whittled its field down to eight players on the winners’ side and eight on the west side of the chart. The field began Thursday with a full 128-player field at Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona, NY. Sunday will see the return of four players in each bracket.

Player of the Year in 2007, Shane Van Boening is still undefeated as yet. After his 9-7 defeat of defending champion Johnny Archer, this afternoon he came through a hill-hill bout with Mike Davis to advance and will next play frequent Joss Tour winner Dennis Hatch. Hatch bested Pete Tascarella Sr. 9-5 earlier.
