Sunday brings continued action in San Antonio
Sunday started bright and early for those players who were skillful enough to make it through Saturdays rounds of play. 48 players returned to continue the quest for the $1400 first place prize in the latest Fast Eddies Olhausen 9-Ball Tour event. As of the time of this article, three of the pre-tournament favorites have been knocked to the 1-loss bracket, as Shane Van Boening lost to a very determined Jason Klatt 9-3, Sylver Ochoa could not fade hold off David “G” Gutierrez, and Sarah Rousey fell to top local player James Davis Sr. They now must work their way through the left side of the field to stake their claim.
The women also had their chance to show what they could do as 28 women showed up to participate in the $350 added ladies event. The ladies will be playing a race to 7 on the winners side, and race to 5 on the 1-loss side, alternate breaks format to determine the top shooter for the weekend. Last night, a Jack and Jill Scotch Doubles tournament was put on in celebration of Valentine’s Day.
Shane Van Boening and Cristina De La Garza came through the one loss bracket to make it to the finals, where they decided along with the hot seat winners Scott White and Kim Sanders to split the cash for first and second place. A lot of fun was had by all, and the participants wished to thank the staff and those that put the tournament on. This event is being streamed live online and can be watched here and at the Ustream channel.
The tour would like to thank all of its sponsors for providing the opportunity to put events on for the players in the great state of Texas. The Fast Eddies Olhausen 9-Ball Tour is the regional tour for Texas; putting on open events at Fast Eddies locations across the state.
