Pechauer All-American Tour / Davenport, IA
Craig McClaren upended Chad Behnke to take first place at the January 3 stop of the Pechauer All-American Tour. Hosted by Miller Time Billiards in Davenport, IA, this $500-added event drew 40 players in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes.
Young Behnke marched undefeated to the hot seat, claiming an A-bracket finals win over Christ Aarido 4-3. Previously, in the A-bracket semifinals, Behnke tripped Don Boll 4-3, while Aarido bested John Jaster by the same 4-3 margin.
In the B-side bracket McClaren ousted Shannon Rasmussen at seventh place 4-3, while Scott Hargens eliminated Randy Tenley at the same placement 5-3. In the B-side quarterfinals McClaren gained more momentum from an early loss by toppling Jaster into fifth place 4-3, while Boll dispatched Hargens 4-4.
