Pluym Outperforms Duster in Dubuque

Ron Pluym won the Pechauer All-American Tuor stop in Dubuque, IA.
Ron Pluym took down the November 29 stop of the Pechauer All-American Tour over Chad Duster. Hosted by Hammerheads Bar and Billiards in Dubuque, IA, the $500-added event drew 17 players in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes.
Pluym, a local, marched undefeated to the finals. In the hot seat match, he clipped Chad Behnke 5-3. Earlier in the A-bracket semifinals, Pluym outmaneuvered Casey Brokus 5-2, while Behnke bested Jerry French by a 4-2 margin.
In the B-side bracket Mike Rohner eliminated French at fifth place 4-0, while Duster, who lost in the first round, maintained his momentum by ousting Casey Brokus at the same placement 5-2. In the B-side semifinals Duster avenged his first-round loss by whitewashing Mike Rohner 5-0. In the B-side finals, Duster closed out Behnke’s tournament at third place by a comfortable 5-2 score. The tournament finals was tight from the start, but Pluym ended Duster’s run on the hill 5-4 to claim the title.
