Canipe Cashes on Viking Billiards Tour
Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball Tour / Hickory, NC

Randy Canipe sailed through the field to win the Viking billiards stop at Randolph's in Hickory, NC.

The Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball Tour stopped at Randolph’s in Hickory, NC, the weekend of November 8-9 for the $3,000-added amateur-only event. Out of the 68 participants, Randy Canipe went undefeated to claim first place.

Canipe drew a bye in round one then proceeded to defeat Mike Bumgarner 7-3, Jeff Pruitt 7-6, Brandon Canipe 7-2, Jerry Hilton 7-5, Evan Wyatt 7-1, and Mackey Lowery 7-5 in the match for the hot seat and once again in the first set of the finals 7-5.

Mackey Lowery also drew a bye in the first round and then went on to best David Coffey 7-6, Kevin Falsetti 7-4, Ritchie Tuttle 7-3, Matt Armstrong 7-6, and Tony Morrison 7-6. In the semifinals Lowery defeated Mike Cantrell in a hill-hill match to earn his trip to the finals, where he once again faced Canipe.
