Steve Mizerak Championship / Hollywood, FL

Owen made it past Moore to claim the hot seat at the Seminole Florida Pro Tour SteveMizerak Championship.
The Steve Mizerak Championship, put on by the Seminole Pro Tour this weekend, has gotten down to three players to compete for the $10,000 first-place prize. The Seminole Hard Rock Casino is hosting the 64-player-field, $20,000-added event.
Only one match was played today, and there will be two Sunday. In the late evening Saturday, former U.S. Open champion Gabe Owen met with 2007 Derby City Classic 9-ball banks winner Steve Moore in the hot seat match. Both seemed nervous at the beginning and needed a little time to settle in. Unfortunately for Moore, Owen settled in when the score reached 5-all, while Moore continued to struggle. It wasn’t too long before Owen was able to claim the next three racks for the 8-5 win.
