Moore Takes Steve Mizerak Championship
Steve Mizerak Championship / Hollywood, FL

Moore avenged his loss to Owen in the hot seat match by coming back to defeat Owen in the finals of the Steve Mizerak Championship.
The Seminole Pro Tour’s Steve Mizerak Championship has been claimed by Steve Moore over Gabe Owen in the finals. The tour’s finale was hosted by the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, FL, and boasted a $20,000 prize purse.
Owen and Moore started off quite slowly, with the first two racks taking a total of 35 minutes as both players employed serious defensive tactics. Owen reached a 3-2 lead, but Moore had a strong out to tie the score at 3-all. When, in the following rack, Owen missed a simple 9 ball, he seemed to become irritated, and Moore was able to reach a 7-3 lead. By the time Owen seemed to get back in stroke, it was too late—Moore had a couple of playable racks that led him to the finish line 9-4.
