Bowman Bounces Hargens to Win Billiards Event
Pechauer All-American Tour / Galesburg, IL

Jesse Bowman outlasted 37 players to capture the Pechauer All-American tour stop.
The November 21 stop of the Pechauer All-American Tour was hosted by Billiards on Main in Galesburg, IL. The $500-added event drew 37 players in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes, with bar-table giant Jesse Bowman taking first place.
Bowman did not let the handicaps interfere with his undefeated sprint to the finals. In the hot seat match, Bowman dominated Duane Tuula 7-2. Earlier, in the A-bracket semifinals, Bowman upended Josh Johnson 7-4, while Tuula dispatched Scott Hargens 5-3.
In the B-side bracket David Coles ousted Chad Vilmont at seventh place 7-2, while Chad Elston eliminated Doric Smith at the same placement 4-2. In the B-side quarterfinals Hargens shuttled David Coles into fifth place 5-4, while Johnson dispatched Chad Elston 7-3. Scott Hargens continued his hot hand in the B-side semifinals, upsetting Johnson 5-3. In the B-side finals, Hargens avenged his earlier loss to Duane Tuula, whitewashing Duane 5-0. In the tournament finals, Hargens put up a game fight in the first set, but Bowman caught Scott on the hill to take the match and the title by a 7-4 margin.
