bankshot Billiards in Jacksonville, FL, welcomed 48 players the weekend of October 10-12 for the latest installment of the Seminole Pro Tour. This $10,000 added, 10-ball event tempted some of the best players in the South to vie for the top prize and bragging rights.

The featured match of the first round was between Gabe Owen and Corey Deuel, who won the last tour event in September. The two former U.S. Open champions kept it close all the way to 5-all, when Owen nabbed the last two racks to win 7-5.

Only one match went hill-hill: Felipe Caraballo sent Jerome Brockwell west after besting him 7-6. Many players received a bye in the first round, including Jeremy Jones, Neil Fujiwara, Tony Crosby, Ron Park, David Howard, Dave Grossman, and Tony Ruberto.

Steve Moore, who did not receive a bye in the first round, sent Brian Gross packing 7-2 and will play Darrin Brown in the second round. Hunter Lombardo bested dealt David Vaughn a 7-4 loss and plays Ruberto next. Johnathan “Hennessee From Tennessee” Pinegar defeated Eddie Cabrera 7-3 and moves on to face Park, while Tommy Kennedy bested T.F. Whittington 7-2 and will next play Walter Blacker.
