John Pokora defeated Jeff Colvin in the final match of the Pechauer All-American Tour in Chenoa, IL.
John Pokora took top honors at the fourth stop of Pechauer All-American Tour October 25, defeating Jeff Colvin in the final match. Hosted by Finish Line Food & Fun in Chenoa, IL, this $500-added event featured 26 players in a double-elimination 8-ball format on 7-foot bar boxes.
Pokora outlasted Colvin in the A-side finals by a 6-1 margin to gain the hot seat, though previously, in the A-side semifinals, Pokora clipped Larry Miller 6-5, while Colvin out-managed Bob Romano 6-4.
The B-side final six showcased Miller eliminating Romano at fifth place by a 4-2 margin, while Brad Blankenship suffered the same fifth-place fate at the hands of Bob Nodine 2-4. Nodine then stopped Miller at fourth place 4-1 before he faced off with Colvin for a chance at Pokora. While Nodine started hot, he was stopped at third place with a 4-2 loss to Colvin. This set up Colvin’s rematch with undefeated Pokora for the title. Pokora was on top all night, forging an early 5-0 lead. Colvin could only manage to earn one game from Pokora, as Pokora took the title in the first set.
