The Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball Tour’s $1,000-added stop September 13 was hosted by Murphy’s Brass Rail in Winder, GA. This event was the first qualifier event for the new ATS U.S. Pro Tour and drew a full field on the small chart, with Jeff Lavinge winning first place and the qualifier.

Lavinge made his way undefeated through the bottom of the bracket, besting Dave McNown 9-6, Antonio Henderson 9-3, John Visotsky 9-2, and Bryant Walker 9-8 in the hot seat match. He then soundly defeated Jason Stemen 9-1 in the first and only set of the double-elimination format final match.

Stemen placed second after he worked his way back from the one-loss side after a hill-hill first-round defeat by Bryant Walker. Once on the west side, he ousted Greg Nodine 9-4, Antonio Henderson 9-2, Robert Chambliss 9-3, David Shadden 9-8, John Visotsky 9-7, and Walker in the quarterfinals 9-8 to advance to the finals against Lavinge.

Results:
1st Jeff Lavinge
2nd Jason Stemen
3rd Bryant Walker
4th John Visotsky
