International Pool Tour Challenge Match #3 East vs. West II
The International Pool Tour presents East vs. West II, the third of the new IPT Challenge Match Series. The two countries that are represented in this challenge are both powerhouses in the world of pool. The United States of America has been one of the most dominant pool countries for over 100 years. Rodney Morris is one of the American players at the top of game in the U.S. However, the Philippines has produced many of the game’s greatest players of the last 30 years, and Marlon Manalo is yet another piece of evidence that the Philippines continues to produce! The two players competing in this match have something big in common- they were both Runners-Up in the two largest tournaments in the history of the sport of pool.
Manalo lost on the hill in the International Pool Tour’s North American Open, on live TV across Europe. Morris had a similar fate in losing a close match to pool legend Efren Reyes in the IPT’s World Open, broadcast live on the World Wide Web.
Both players are proud to represent their respective countries in what will surely be an awesome match. They are going to clash live, on a free broadcast on the International Pool Tour web site. The live match will take place on Tuesday, March 4th, 2008 at 9pm (eastern). The game is 8-Ball, and the first player to win fifteen games takes the match.
