Morgan Steinman is making her move on the Women’s Professional Billiard Association (WPBA). Born and raised in western Montana, she began playing pool when her father gave her a Cue stick and put milk crates around the pool table to enable her to reach. She entered local tournaments with her father, and it wasn¢t long before she began taking home titles.
Steinman won the Montana State Championships in 2001, 2003, and 2005. She also won the ACS Nationals Women¢s Open 8-ball and 9-ball titles in 2005. In 2006, she won the 2006 Super Billiards Expo Women¢s 9-Ball Championship and was named InsidePOOL Magazine¢s 2006 Amateur Player of the Year.
After moving to New York, Steinman became a player representative for RT9 Designs, Inc. and practices at Gallery Billiards in Newburgh, NY. She plays on several of the northeast regional tours. In 2005 Steinman earned the title of Player of the Year on the McDermott New England Tour, and the following year she was awarded Player of the Year titles on both the J. Pechauer Northeast Women¢s Tour and on the McDermott Tour.
