Gerda “G Force” Hofstatter
A recent graduate from New York University, Gerda “G-Force” Hofstatter was born February 9 in Friesach, Austria. She started playing pool as a teenager but considered it more a hobby than anything until she won the 1987 Austrian National Championship.
In the early 1990s, Hofstatter moved to the U.S. to further pursue a career in pocket billiards. She turned pro in 1993 and collected her first U.S. title that same year. Since then, she has steadily continued to add first-place finishes to her resume. Her titles include 2000 BCA Open Championship, 1999 Brunswick Billiards New York Classic, and 1995 WPA World 9-Ball Championship.
Sponsored by Predator Cues, Hofstatter is affiliated with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Visit her website at gerdahofstatter.com.
